Plagiarism
The Kuwait Journal of Computer Science (KJCS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and quality. Plagiarism is an act of intellectual misconduct that undermines the integrity of scientific research and publication. KJCS takes a serious stance against all forms of plagiarism and has established the following plagiarism policy to ensure the originality and authenticity of the content it publishes.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is defined as the act of using the work or ideas of others without giving proper credit or citation. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying and pasting from another source, whether it is printed or online.
- Paraphrasing someone else's work without proper citation or attribution.
- Using data, figures, images, or any other material from another source without proper permission or citation.
- Submitting someone else's work as your own, whether in whole or in part.
KJCS's Plagiarism Policy
- All submitted manuscripts must be original and unpublished. Manuscripts that have been previously published or are under consideration elsewhere will not be accepted.
- Authors must ensure that all sources used in their manuscript are properly cited and referenced. Plagiarism in any form will not be tolerated.
- Manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software. If plagiarism is detected, the manuscript will be immediately rejected, and the author will be notified.
- In case of minor plagiarism, KJCS may give the author an opportunity to revise the manuscript to address the issue. However, if the plagiarism is deemed significant, the manuscript will be rejected outright.
- KJCS reserves the right to inform the author's institution, funding agencies, and other relevant authorities about any instances of plagiarism or scientific misconduct.
- Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use copyrighted material and for properly acknowledging the source of the material.
- KJCS may retract a published manuscript if it is found to contain plagiarism or other forms of scientific misconduct.

- The author may be prohibited from submitting future manuscripts to KJCS.
- The author may be banned from submitting manuscripts to other journals in the field.
