Abstract

Conflict zones are often characterized by the violation of human rights and humanitarian law. International law provides a framework for protecting human rights in conflict zones, but its effectiveness is limited by several factors. This article examines the role of international law in protecting human rights in conflict zones. It reviews the relevant international legal frameworks, including the Geneva Conventions and the International Criminal Court, and analyzes their effectiveness in protecting human rights. The article also examines the challenges and limitations of implementing international law in conflict zones, such as the lack of enforcement mechanisms and the politicization of human rights. Finally, the article discusses potential solutions to enhance the effectiveness of international law in protecting human rights in conflict zones.
