Leadership Styles and their Influence on Employee Motivation

Abstract

This article examines the impact of different leadership styles on employee motivation. Autocratic, democratic, transformational, and laissez-faire leadership styles are discussed, and their effects on employee motivation are analyzed. The study found that democratic and transformational leadership styles have a positive influence on employee motivation, leading to increased job satisfaction and productivity. On the other hand, autocratic and laissez-faire leadership styles can demotivate employees, leading to low morale and productivity. It is essential for leaders to choose a leadership style that suits their organization's culture and goals, and create a positive organizational culture that enhances employee motivation and productivity.
