It examines the balancing of competing interests and values such as national security, public order, privacy, reputation, equality and diversity, and the impact of technological advancements on free speech. The article also highlights the challenges of applying and enforcing limitations on freedom of speech in practice, and the potential implications for democracy, human rights, and social cohesion.
